College of Arts and Sciences


The College of Arts and Sciences is at the heart of Maryville’s commitment to the thoughtful integration of liberal arts and professional education. Offering a wide array of majors in natural sciences, humanities, mathematics, design, fine arts, and the social sciences, the College also houses several professional programs. 

Programs offered within the College of Arts and Sciences include not only the traditional academic disciplines, but also a distinctive combined major in psychology and sociology; rich interdisciplinary opportunities in liberal studies, the sciences, and humanities; and excellent professional programs in actuarial science, graphic design, interactive design, interior design, and studio art. The College offers early access graduate bridge programs leading to master’s degrees in actuarial science, strategic communication and leadership, rehabilitation counseling, and business management.
