Credits: Three (3)
This course explores the ethical dimensions of
the use of military force up to and including
war, both by states and by non-state actors. It
covers not only the decisions and justifications

methods and means of force, once employed. The
course will survey a variety of sources of
military ethics, including international law,
secular political philosophy, and the war ethics
in various world religions.
