ACSC 422 - Actuarial Modeling II

Prerequisite: ACSC-421
This course is the second part of two courses in actuarial modeling designed to develop the student’s knowledge in the theoretical basis of actuarial models and the application of those models to insurance and other financial risks. Topics include analysis of benefits reserves, multiple life functions, multiple decrement models, frequency and severity models, compound distribution models, Poisson process models, insurance models including expenses and Markov chain models. ACSC 421 and ACSC 422 cover all of the learning objectives contained in Examination LTAM (Long-Term Actuarial Models) of the Society of Actuaries.
