EDUC 351 - Reading Methods II: Elementary


Credits: 3
Prerequisite: EDUC 331/531
This course delves more deeply into the study of the contemporary concepts of teaching reading at the elementary level. Students build upon what they have learned in EDUC 331/531 to discover how to diagnose and address specific issues cause students to struggle with reading. Students will continue to explore strategies to address the needs of English language learners. They learn how to use formative and summative assessments effectively to plan for and deliver instruction that enhances the success of all students. This course taken at the graduate level requires additional readings and assignments.
