EDUC 471 - Social Science Methods

Credits: 3
This course provides the prospective elementary  school teacher with an understanding of the social studies curriculum in the elementary and middle school along with various models and skills for teaching that curriculum. Special attention is given to the place of geography, economics and culture in the social studies curriculum. Specific attention will be given to differentiation of instruction and specific strategies for meeting the needs of English language learners.
