ENGL 412 - Monsters in Film and Literature Credits: Three (3) This course will look at influential modern works such as Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, recent revisionism by writers such as Anne Rice and Octavia Butler, and a few of the many monster movies. Students will consider the language, structure, origins, contexts, and implications of the stories. General Education Area: Literature Cross-listed: ENGL-212, ENGL-212H Prerequisite: ENGL-101
