PSYC 215 - Intro Clinical & Counseling Psyc

This course is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of two of the major specialties in the field of psychology: clinical and counseling psychology.  Additionally, this course will inform students of relevant ethical codes and culturally competent interventions. Implicit to this purpose is the facilitation of students’ appreciation of the historical origins, major theoretical orientations, and selected practitioner activities, both shared and unique to each.
Prerequisite: PSYC-101 or PSYC-202H
