EXSC 501 - Imbedded Applied Field Experience
Credits: 3
This course provides students with a hands-on, immersive experience in a professional setting related to exercise science. Students will engage in practical applications of their knowledge and skills while working alongside experienced professionals in various environments, such as fitness centers, rehabilitation clinics, sports teams, or community health organizations. The course emphasizes the integration of theoretical concepts with real-world practice, allowing students to develop competencies in assessment, program design, and client interaction. Through reflective practice and mentorship, students will enhance their professional development and prepare for careers in exercise science and related fields. This course was primarily designed for high-level, professional sport opportunities and therefore requires an interview prior to being approved to enroll. The length of this course will be based on the Field Experience site.
