COMM 420 - MEDIA MANAGEMENT


Credits: Three
In this course students learn about the processes used in managing media organizations. They examine media technologies with the aim of identifying the specific communication options those technologies make available. Students will also learn how to forecast trends in the adoption and use of emerging and converging media technologies. They will explore media organizations and their societal roles and learn about market analysis techniques, personnel management issues, and budgeting.
