Healthcare Practice Management

B.S. in Healthcare Practice Management

The Healthcare Practice Management Bachelor of Science Degree is designed to provide the student with a variety of courses to prepare for (or enhance) a career in healthcare practice management.  This is an online program through the School of Adult and Online Education.

Admission Requirements

  • A 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale in all college work is required for direct admission to the program and must be maintained throughout the program.  GPA’s below 2.5 but at least 2.0 may be considered for conditional admission based on academic achievement in currently enrolled course work and the completion of personal statement detailing a commitment to the field of practice management and a plan for maintaining academic success.
  • Students with an allied health associates or bachelor’s degree and/or current national licensure in an allied health field may be given 38-40 hours credit for previous professional study and experience.
  • Students who possess an Associate in Arts General Transfer degree from an accredited institution which follows the Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education guidelines, or a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, will have fulfilled Maryville’s General Education requirement.
  • A maximum of 68 credit hours from a two-year college will be counted toward the completion of a bachelor’s degree.
  • High school transcripts are required for students with fewer than 30 transferable hours.
  • For the completion of a bachelor’s degree, at least the last 30 credit hours must be taken at Maryville.
  • One half of the major must be taken at Maryville.

Program Requirements

  • A 2.5 grade point average must be maintained throughout the program.
  • Prior to participation in Practicum and Capstone courses, students must provide proof of health insurance and undergo background checks and a urine drug screen.
