Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Academic Programs (by degree)

As of Fall 2018, this program will no longer be offered. Maryville offers a BFA professional program in Graphic Design, for more information see: Graphic Design, B.F.A.

The B. A. in Graphic Design is an undergraduate liberal arts degree and is intended for the student desiring a broad exposure to the study of graphic design with an opportunity to pursue a required minor or dual major in a complimentary discipline. Communication, business and writing are among the most common academic pairings. This program is not intended for students seeking a professional degree in graphic design. Maryville offers a BFA in Graphic Design (Graphic Design, B.F.A.  ) for those interested in a professional degree targeted towards career outcomes in the graphic design field. This degree consists of 128 credit hours, 48 of which are in art and design core requirements, graphic design and art history. Requirements for a minor also must be completed for the B.A. (See a curriculum guide for recommended sequencing.)  Like all of the Design & Visual Art  programs, it is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art & Design (NASAD).
