There are three pre-licensure tracks to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The first track is the traditional day that is designed for incoming traditional age freshmen students. The Adult and Online Education track is for non-traditional age students who have completed 65 credits in the general education courses that are required for the major. This program is part time with day, evening, and weekend courses and clinicals. The Fast Track is the third option. It is designed for students who are changing majors or transferring from another university who have completed the 65 general education required for the major. This is a full time day program. These students attend class and clinical during the fall and spring semesters for two academic years.

The Day, Adult and Online, and Fast Track curricula all begin in the Fall semester. Transfer students may apply at any time. Admission to any program is depended upon compliance with admission requirements and available space in the nursing program.

The Maryville Nursing baccalaureate program is fully approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, Washington DC 20001, 202-887-6791. In addition to providing academic preparation for entry into professional nursing practice through licensure, the Maryville Nursing program also provides the student with the foundation for graduate study. The nursing curriculum prepares students to provide preventive, curative and rehabilitative professional nursing care to individuals of all ages, to families, and to the community.

The program can be completed on a full-time basis through the day and Fast Track programs or part-time through Adult and Online Education. Clinical activities are held during the day, evening and on weekends. Students must furnish their own transportation to and from clinical sites. For certain courses, laboratory, examination and malpractice insurance fees are assessed.
