Master of Arts in Teaching

Teachers are called upong to demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and best classroom practice in working with their students, fellow teachers and communities. This 30-credit evening/summer program prepares practicing teachers to be masters of their practice, focused on improving student achievement through their classroom practices and their role within and beyond classrooms.

Courses taken may vary by concentration; see your adviser for specific requirements. Elective courses:
The remaining 12 credits are designed with the student’s adviser and may include some of the following courses or other graduate courses and may lead to one of the areas of concentration in early childhood education, middle level education, or a customized course of study. Workshop course credits may be accepted upon approval of the adviser. In some instances, if an add-on teaching certificate is desired, the program will be more than 30 hours. |
