The Healthcare Management Bachelor of Science Degree is designed to provide the student with a variety of courses to prepare for (or enhance) a career in healthcare management. The program offers students the opportunity to obtain a certificate in Senior Living Management. This is a fully asynchronous online program.
A 2.5 grade point average must be maintained throughout the program.
Required major courses towards the Healthcare Management Program (HCM) Bachelor of Science degree must reflect a grade of C+ (2.5 GPA) or better in the student’s transcript.
Prior to participation in Practicum and Capstone courses, students must provide proof of health insurance and undergo background checks and a urine drug screen.

The following requirements must be met prior to participating in the practicum:
Hepatitis B Vaccine Series or Declination
Annual Flu Vaccine
Health Insurance (copy of card required annually)
Urine Drug Screen (from the Maryville authorized lab)
Criminal Record Background checks from Maryville University’s authorized agency and signed release to clinical sites (possible checks include: state criminal checks, disqualification lists, sex offender lists, social security number, address, and alias).

The Senior Living Management certificate offers students an overview of the broad spectrum of senior living services. Students can choose a nursing home and/or assisted/senior living track.
