The Rehabilitation Services Minor consists of five courses.

Beginning in Fall 2024, the REHB prefix is being phased out and the courses will be represented by the PSYC prefix and number.  The course title and content remain unchanged.

PSYC 115 (formerly REHB 105): Offered every Fall and Spring.

PSYC 225 (formerly REHB 220): Offered every Fall.

PSYC 235 (formerly REHB 230): Offered Spring – even years.

PSYC 345 (formerly REHB 340): Offered Fall – even years.

PSYC 431 (formerly REHB 431): Offered every Spring.

A minor in rehabilitation services will benefit undergraduates interested in the helping professions and individuals seeking to become a professional counselor. Course work emphasizes experiential learning in active listening, therapeutic communication, substance abuse treatment, career development, disability culture, and medical aspects of disability. Students completing the minor can seek employment in entry level human service agencies.

Note: Some courses in this minor are only available in the online format.  For students majoring in Psychology, Forensic Psychology/Criminal Justice, or the Psychology/Sociology Dual Major, the Rehabilitation Services Minor is recorded as the Rehabilitation Services Concentration.  All requirements remain the same.
