Psychology/Elementary Education Bridge

Students seeking to apply their psychology knowledge in school settings can apply for admission to the elementary education bridge program during the fall of their junior year. Students must meet all admission requirements including overall and psychology GPA. Students complete a program of combined coursework in psychology and education and then, during the fifth year, complete the requirements for a Master of Arts in Education and for certification to teach the elementary grades (1-6) in the Missouri public schools. Students are advised by a psychology adviser and an adviser in the School of Education. Students must fulfill the School of Education general education and admission requirements listed in the School of Education section of this catalog.

- ENGL American Literature 3
- ENGL World Literature or multicultural course 3
- Fine Arts Elective (Music) 3
- Fine Arts Elective (Art) 3
- HIST American History 3
- Psychology, Sociology or Anthropology 3
- Physics or Chemistry with a Lab 4
Required Courses: Psychology
- Four 300-level Psychology elective courses selected from:
