The Rehabilitation Nursing Certificate is designed to set a standard of excellence in practice of nurses involved with care of the individual with chronic health care problems. The certificate consists of six courses that are three credits each. The certificate can be completed in one year. This program takes advantage of many of the existing talented faculty at Maryville University and synergizes the School of Health Professions into a transdiciplinary model of education.
The purpose of the Rehabilitation Nursing Certificate is to provide graduate students with a knowledge base in the specialty of Rehabilitation Nursing. Included is the ability to clinically treat patient’s chronic health care issues, to perform evidence based research in the area of restorative health, to educate others in the provision of care for individuals with chronicity and to institute and administer programs and policies specific to enhancing the lives of individuals with chronic health care issues.
Eligibility
