Forensic Science with Chemistry Concentration

The Forensic Science program offers two track options, Forensic Science with Biology Concentration and Forensic Science with Chemistry Concentration. Both options are designed to provide academic and professional training for students interested in careers working as scientists in forensic laboratories, medical professions, or as preparation for graduate studies within the sciences –including forensic science. The curriculum is designed to provide studens with a thorough grounding in the natural sciences and with the advanced coursework necessary to be competitive in applying for graduate studies in forensic science.

General Education
- One course in art, music, performance, or aesthetics
- One additional course in English or in a foreign language
- One course in philosophy
- One course from American history or government
- One additional elective from English, the arts, aesthetics, foreign language, humanities, philosophy, or religion
- Two additional social science electives chosen from the following discipliens: ECON, GEOG, HIST, PSCI, PSYC, SOC
Natural Science and Mathematics
(Students must earn a minimum of 35 credit hours) Forensic Science with a Chemistry Concentration
Forensic and advanced science coursework: (Students must earn a minimum of 41 credit hours) Other required courses:
