Biology, B.S., with a Biomedical Science Concentration

A student majoring in Biology may choose to earn a Concentration in Biomedical Science. The Biomedical Science concentration is designed to prepare students for generalist positions within health and natural sciences or for continued graduate study in the health and natural science specialties (Health Education, Pharmacology, Medicine, Public Health and advanced studies in Science). No minor is required for a B.S. in Biomedical Science. In addition to a concentration in Biomedical Science, the student earns an emphasis in Physiology and Health Sciences through the required courses.

General Education Requirements:
- One course from art, music, performance or aesthetics
- One course in English or in a foreign language
- One additional elective from ENGL, the arts/aesthetics, foreign language, HUM, PHIL, REL
- One course American history or government
- Additional electives approved by the adviser to reach minimum of 45 hours
