COMM 121 - INTRO TO MASS COMMUNICATION

Credits: Three
This course is an introductory study of the dynamics of mass communication — historical, political, economic, sociological, and technological — with particular interest in the mass media — newspapers, magazines, books, film, radio, television, sound recordings, and the Internet. Special emphasis is placed on the various ways in which these media impact the way we talk, act, dress, and look at life.
Note: The accelerated Weekend and Evening College format of this course will be augmented by a faculty-prescribed one-credit independent learning experience.
