COMM 231 - INTRO DIGITAL MEDIA TECH

Credits: Three
This course introduces students to the computer as a tool for producing digital media and imagery. Students will explore the use of specialized software to produce illustrations, edit photographs, and lay out documents. They will also learn the fundamentals of print media, digital video and audio, interactive media, multimedia, the Macintosh interface, digital photography, and scanning.
Note: The accelerated Weekend and Evening College format of this course will be augmented by a faculty-prescribed one-credit independent learning experience.
