ENGL 312 - HISTORY OF LITERARY CRITICISM


Credits: Three
Prerequisite: ENGL 101; Minimum grade C-
A study of the development of literary criticism in the western intellectual tradition, the course examines the distinction between criticism concerned primarily with form and criticism concerning itself with evaluation.
Note: English majors may take this course as a capstone course. The accelerated Weekend and Evening College format of this course will be augmented by a faculty-prescribed one- credit independent learning experience.
