ACSC 522 - Actuarial Modeling II Credits: Three (3) This course is the second part of two courses in actuarial modeling designed to develop the student’s knowledge in the theoretical basis of actuarial models and the application of those models to insurance and other financial risks. Topics include analysis of benefits reserves, multiple life functions, multiple decrement models, frequency and severity models, compound distribution models, Poisson process models, insurance models including expenses and Markov chain models. ACSC 521 and ACSC 4522 cover all of the learning objectives contained in Examination LTAM (Long-Term Actuarial Models) of the Society of Actuaries. Note: This course is for graduate students only.
