Credits: 3
This course provides a comprehensive business perspective coupled with the technical and operational side of network security governance. We will focus on steps organizations and individuals can develop to implement network security action plans from both technical, operational, and administrative perspectives to responsibly manage risk. Fundamental principles of secure coding and scripting, as well as privacy and data encryption will be addressed to help students learn how to properly guard against network cyber-attacks and mitigate the impact on an organization should an attack occur. This course is designed to help students master the concepts of network security and cryptography through readings, labs, and assignments as they prepare to take the EC-Council Certified Encryption Certification Examination.
