Fall 2022: A Baker’s Dozen: Chemical Reactions that Shaped History
How do reactions, such as fire or PCR, fit into our life today and how have certain chemical transformations influenced the development of society? Humans have used chemistry since the discovery of fire and we will use a sampling of historical and modern reactions as a framework to explore how chemistry can be academic endeavor, an industrial process and sometimes an accident.
