NURS 401 - Foundations of Public Health Nursing


Credits: 3
This course introduces the core principles and practices of public health, focusing on promoting population health and preventing disease. Students will explore the cultural and social determinants of health and their impact on diverse populations. Through various assignments, students will develop skills in assessing health needs, designing and implementing public health interventions, and evaluating their outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on interprofessional collaboration, evidence-based practice, and ethical considerations in addressing public health challenges.
Prerequisite1: NURS 302 NURS 304 , and NURS 305
