PHYS 104 - General Physics II Credits: 4 This is the second in a sequence of two courses in algebra-based physics. Topics covered include: thermodynamics, wave mechanics, electricity, and optics. The required lab component consists of experiments that aid in the mastery of the course content. Note: This sequence does not count towards the following majors: biochemistry, chemistry, forensic science or dual-degree engineering. Students intending to take the MCAT are recommended to take the PHYS-153/154 sequence, which has more alignment with that examination. The PHYS-103/104 sequence may be taken as a supplement to a student’s preparation for a standardized exam that involves physics.
