NURS 712 - Evidence-Based Practice/Research Utilization

The DNP EBP (Evidence-Based Practice) / Research Utilization course is designed to prepare Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students to identify practice problems, systematically review and synthesize evidence, and effectively utilize this evidence to make informed clinical decisions. This course delves into the philosophical underpinnings of knowledge by exploring the nature of evidence within the healthcare context. Students will learn advanced concepts of evidence-based practice, including thorough literature searches, critical appraisal of research findings, and applying evidence to clinical scenarios. Through this course, DNP students will enhance their ability to provide high-quality, patient-centered care based on the latest evidence.
