The School of Health Professions provides interdisciplinary education for wellness, health care and rehabilitation. It encompasses the following programs: Health Science, Music Therapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, Rehabilitation Services, and a Gerontology Certificate. The School of Health Professions offers state of the art academic programs through a health promotion model that integrates experiential learning and research. The School utilizes collaborative partnerships to educate competent, compassionate, caring and reflective practitioners prepared for practice in current and future healthcare environments.

The mission of the Maryville University School of Health Professions is to prepare a diverse student body with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to address the needs of a client or patient and the community. Through a liberal arts foundation and through strong partnerships, both internally within the university and externally in the greater St. Louis community, faculty and staff work collaboratively to enable students to become critical thinkers as well as collaborative, productive and civil members of society and leaders within their profession. Our unique blend of programs including health, counseling, rehabilitation, and music, provide students with a true holistic approach.
