The contemporary sports industry is complex and increasingly business oriented. The Sports Management major is focused on building leadership skills for students interested in the business of sports. Students have the benefit of a strong general business foundation combined with special knowledge and experience in the areas that are critical for success in sports management. The program provides students with specific competencies in management, financial analysis, marketing, operations management and communications as they relate to the sports industry. The program requires students to gain practical experience through an internship or co-op experience.

All majors in the School of Business must complete a business core of 33-36 credit hours. Note:
