The Accounting Information Systems major meets the dynamic needs of students interested in careers as AIS professionals in fields such as information systems auditors, system assurance services, and small business accounting services. This degree addresses AIS in today’s global business environment with rapidly changing technology.
Students will develop skills that allow them to be involved in the Accounting Information System development process, from planning and analysis to design and implementation. Topics covered include accounting database design and development, business process analysis, accounting applications, internal control requirements, IT Audit and accounting requirements for the development of intelligent systems.
