The Maryville University Nursing Program offers a 36–42 credit hour program leading to the Master of Science in Nursing. The graduate program offers two emphasis areas: a) Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, and b) Family Nurse Practitioner.  In addition, the graduate program offers a post-Master’s option for each of the emphasis areas.  Students will be advised on an individual basis regarding the required courses for their program.  The curriculum is designed to provide maximum flexibility for full or part-time study with classes in the evening or online.  Admission requirements include:

  • BSN from an NLNAC/CCNE accredited program.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 point scale.

  • Current unencumbered Missouri RN license.

  • Three letters of recommendation.

  • Copy of curriculum vitae/resume.

  • A 500-word essay outlining the applicant’s professional goals as a nurse practitioner and philosophy of graduate education.

  • An interview may be requested.
