Social Work Bridge

This program is open to qualified Maryville seniors majoring in the Sociology or the Psychology/Socilogy - double major. Seniors may take up to 12 hours of graduate credit in Saint Louis University’s (SLU) Master of Social Work program, pending acceptance by SLU as an “unclassified/non-degree seeking student”. These hours apply toward the fulfillment of Maryville’s requirements for the bachelor’s degree as electives and will also apply toward SLU’s MSW program as long as:

  • Grades of “B” or better are earned in all courses
  • all degree requirements are met to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Maryville
  • all requirements for full admission to SLU’s MSW program are met.

Interested students must work closely with their academic advisor to ensure all deadlines are met, including thsoe for admission to SLU and working with Maryville’s financial aid office. As a general guideline, the entire process must be complete prior to April 1 for Fall admission and October 15 for Spring admission.
