 English/Elementary Education Bridge  |

				Students seeking to apply their English knowledge in elementary school settings can work towards the bachelor’s in English while working towards certification and a master’s in elementary education. Students apply for admission to the elementary education bridge program during their junior year and must meet all education admission requirements including overall and English GPA. Students complete a program of combined coursework in English and education and then, during the fifth year, complete the requirements for a Master of Arts in Education and for certification to teach the elementary grades (1-6) in the Missouri public schools. Students are advised by an English adviser and an adviser in the School of Education. Students must fulfill the School of Education general education and admission requirements listed in the School of Education  section of this catalog. |
