The cybersecurity program provides students with a unique blend of in-demand technical skills plus a strong general business foundation, which are critical for success in the field of cybersecurity. Students can choose to specialize their skills through an offensive track, using ethical hacking practices to keep threats from becoming attacks, a defensive track, learning to eliminate vulnerabilities and keep defenses strong, or a general approach with a combination of both.
The BS in Cybersecurity is accredited by ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs).
Program Outcomes
Students with a major in Cybersecurity should be able to:
- Recognize, discuss and explain information security principles and how those information principles apply to industry.
- Demonstrate the information security planning process and describe/apply various information security tools.
- Compare and contrast domestic and international information security issues.
- Develop leadership and networking skills and apply them to the information security industry.
