The Chemistry major prepares students to enter the chemical industry, agriculture, the food industry, environmental protection, health sciences, energy, and government. A degree in chemistry also provides excellent pre-professional education for those seeking careers in forensics, medicine, dentistry or law, particularly environmental regulatory law and patent law. A minor is required for a B.S. in Chemistry.

General Education Requirements:
- One course in art, music, performance, or aesthetics
- One additional course in English or in a foreign language
- One elective in English, the arts, aesthetics, foreign language, humanities, philosophy, or religion
- One course in American history or government
- Two additional courses chosen from economics, geography, history, political science, psychology, or sociology
Additional Requirements:
- Additional electives to reach a total of 51 hours
- The study of a foreign language (German, Russian or French) is recommended
Required Courses:
(41 credit hours)

Please Note:
*MATH 151, 152 and 251 may count toward a math minor. |
