ACSC 305 - Insurance and Risk Credits: Three (3) This course introduces the students to the fundamental principles of insurance and risk. Students receive a thorough introduction to risk concepts, as well as life, health, property and casualty insurance, and retirement plans. Group projects, guest lecturers and outside readings supplement the text.
This course helps prepare students for Online Course 1 (CA1) – Risk Management and Insurance Operations, offered by the Casualty Actuarial Society. This provides basic information for the upper level actuarial science courses.
