PSYC 352 - Counseling Credits: Three (3) This course presents an overview of the major counseling theories and techniques. Particular emphasis is placed on the key concepts of each theory, the role of the therapist/clinician, therapeutic goals, and the principal techniques that follow from each theory. Cultural, legal, and ethical issues facing counselors are addressed as well as strategies for employing basic counseling skills.
