ESL 107 - Writing and Research

Credits: Three (3)
This course focuses on writing multiple-paragraph compositions that demonstrate organization of ideas, use of a thesis statement, and support of ideas. Skills required for academic writing are emphasized. The course includes an introduction to skills for academic research. This course is offered only for non-native English speakers. Placement in ESL classes is based on the student’s score on the TOEFL or IELTS.
