EDUC 352 - Education and Psychology of Exceptional Children Credits: 3 This course is designed to help education candidates understand best practices in teaching students who are identified as exceptional. The focus is on understanding the various characteristics of students who are exceptional and their physical, social, emotional, and/or cognitive needs. Additional focus areas are using differentiation techniques, modifications, and accommodations to meet student needs. Emphasis is placed on applying differentiation techniques to lesson design. This course, taken at the graduate level, requires additional readings and assignments. Note: This course is required for all Missouri certificates.
