EDUC 440 - Setting Up School Experience and Practicum in Teaching Science Methods: Secondary Credits: 2 This course is designed as the concluding practicum experience in a secondary school setting. The overall focus of this course is on delivering and reflecting on four content area lessons, setting up a classroom, and getting to know the students in the classroom. Emphasis is placed on preparing for the new school year, learning from professional development experiences, planning collaboratively with the CT and/or team, welcoming new students to the classroom, reflection, and personal goal setting. Candidates will be formatively assessed on the MEES Standards. Teacher candidates will attend practicum during assigned hours unless approved by the program director. Note: 1-3 variable credits with the program director’s approval.
