BIOL 111 - Research Methods 1

An online course to be offered to entering Freshmen and/or transfer students to introduce them to the scientific laboratory experience, basic techniques and instruments, and lab notebooks. Students will be introduced to the meaning of scientific literacy, ethics in research, learning how to search databases and using library resources, and begin to learn how to recognize the quality of a study and the strength of data.
