NURS 203 - Introduction to Clinical Nursing Practice Credits: 3 This course introduces students to the foundational principles and practices of nursing. Students will explore the history of nursing, the nursing process, and the ethical and legal responsibilities of nurses. In addition, students will center on select nursing content (elimination, peri-operative care, musculoskeletal and death and dying). Through a combination of theoretical instruction and real-world settings scenarios, students will learn to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to diverse patient populations. Prerequisite1: BIOL 102 , BIOL 104 , COMP 104 , and CHEM 120 (or equivalent) Corequisite1: NURS 202 , NURS 203C , and NURS 204L
