NURS 400C - Required Clinical - Nursing Care of Children Credits: 2 This clinical course provides nursing students with hands-on experience in delivering safe, evidence-based, and developmentally appropriate care to diverse pediatric patients and their families. Students will apply the nursing process in clinical settings to address the unique health promotion, growth, and developmental needs of children and adolescents. Emphasis is placed on implementing strategies that support pediatric growth and development while ensuring high-quality, person-centered care. Students will also develop and demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with interprofessional healthcare teams to optimize pediatric care outcomes. Professionalism and accountability are integral components of this course, as students uphold ethical and legal standards in their clinical practice. Through guided clinical experiences, students will refine their clinical judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills, preparing them to provide holistic, family-centered care in pediatric nursing.
