Studio Art, B.F.A. with Photo Media Concentration

The B.F.A in Studio Art - Photo Media Concentration is intended to prepare students for professions within the broad field of photography and digital image making.  The curriculum provides: advanced study in photo media and digital image making; a strong foundation in traditional media, design theory and art history; professional development opportunities; and a rich experience with the tools and technologies of the discipline.  Comprised of 132 credits, 90 are devoted to the major and the remaining 42 are devoted to a strong liberal arts education.  (See curriculum guide for recommended sequencing).

 

Like all of the Art & Design  programs, it is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art & Design (NASAD).

Please Note:


Of the 132 credit hours required for this program, one half of the 90 credits (for the major, concentration and Art & Design Core combined) and the last 30 credit hours must be taken at Maryville to satisfy requirements for graduation.
