The Bachelor of Science in Biology with a biotechnology concentration provides students with experience in using a number of biological processes, including recombinant DNA technology, that are used to solve problems or make useful products. Students participate in laboratory experiences in various aspects of molecular, cellular, and physical biosciences and become wellprepared to seek employment in a laboratory setting after graduation or to continue their education at the graduate level. Because upper-level biology courses may be offered only every other year, students are urged to consult their advisers in planning their curriculum.
