EDUC 230 - Practicum in Math Methods II: Elementary
Credits: 2
The course is designed as a practicum experience in a K-6 setting. This course focuses on delivering and reflecting on three lessons and interactive observations, which include engaging with students and forming relationships with them, observing equitable teaching practices, differentiation of learning, and engaging instructional practices. Emphasis is placed on cooperative learning, manipulatives, differentiated instruction, reflection, and personal goal setting. Candidates will be formatively assessed on the MEES Standards. Teacher candidates will attend practicum during assigned hours unless approved by the program director.
Note: 1 variable credit with the program director’s approval.
