EDUC 480 - Setting Up School Experience & Practicum in Science and Social Science Credits: 2 This course is designed as the concluding practicum experience in a K-6 setting. The overall focus of this course is on delivering and reflecting on two lessons in science and two lessons in social science as well as setting up a classroom and getting to know the students in the classroom. Emphasis is placed on preparing for the new school year, learning from professional development experiences, planning collaboratively with the CT and/or team, welcoming new students to the classroom, reflection, and personal goal setting. Candidates will be formatively assessed on the MEES Standards. Teacher candidates will attend practicum during assigned hours unless approved by the program director. Note: 1-3 variable credits with Program Director approval
Corequisite: EDUC-481 - Science Methods; EDUC-471 - Social Science Methods
