EDUC 504 - Student Teaching: Professional Seminar

Credits: 3
This course is designed to help elementary, elementary/early childhood, and secondary education candidates strengthen teaching skills as they transition into their own classrooms. This course focuses on professional communication skills for a variety of audiences. Additional focus includes legal and ethical aspects of teaching and professional collaboration and consultation, including consulting with peers when analyzing issues encountered by teachers. Emphasis is placed on analyzing instructional experiences and data after teaching a unit of study. This course, taken at the graduate level, requires additional readings and assignments.
