EDUC 239 - Fundamentals of Secondary Teaching
Credits: 3
This course is designed to help secondary education candidates understand research-based practices in content-area education. The focus is on local, state, and national standards. Additional focus areas include instructional strategies appropriate for teaching secondary education students, assessment, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and the incorporation of technology. Emphasis is placed on initial instruction in lesson planning, differentiation, and classroom management.
